Washington City Death Index Records
Washington death records are processed through the county where the death occurred. Cities do not maintain their own death indexes or issue death certificates. For any city in Washington, the death certificate is filed with the Washington State Department of Health, and local county offices handle historical records. The Washington State Digital Archives provides free access to death indexes for events from 1907 through 1967. Select a city below to find county office contacts, local resources, and guidance on how to search or request death records for that area.
